May 2003 - Pataskala, OH : Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. has announced that a new XML transformation engine known as TinX is now entered into the Alpha Testing phase. Once Alpha Testing is complete, the Beta will be opened to the public. Stay tuned for more information on TinX.
March 2003 - Pataskala, OH : Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. entered into discussions with several local companies to offer training and consulting services. Mr. Lucas indicated that some of the services may be web based JSP/Struts related. The other work would focus on UML training.
January 2003 - Pataskala, OH : This month Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. announched plans to release by end of 2Q2003 a software product that will give B2B integration in the enterprise an alternative to XSLT. The product known as TinX will begin alpha testing around end of 1Q2003.
October 2002 - Pataskala, OH : Mr. Lucas presented his talk on J2EE Connector Architecture at the October Central Ohio Java User's Group (COJUG) meeting. There were several that turned out to learn more about where JCA is headed and how it will impact application servers of the future.
May 2002 - Pataskala, OH : At the 13th Annual Borland Conference (BorCon), Mr. David Lucas presented two topics, one on J2EE Connector Architecture and the other was on the J2EE Performance benchmark known as ECPerf. Despite turndowns in the economy, the conference managed a good turnout. This years focus was around Web Services.
January 2002 - Pataskala, OH : The 13th Annual Borland Conference has selected two abstracts by David Lucas of Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. to present at this years BorCon 2002 in May. Topics will be ECperf and Java Connector Architecture.
October 2001 - Pataskala, OH : - Pataskala, OH : Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. announced that the existing contract with Applied Concepts Inc. (ACI) of Gahanna, OH will likely be extended until 2Q2002 due to new development project starting up. No details were given on if the contract would be extended for another year or not. Work will continue with the integration of business services with IFX.
July 2001 - Pataskala, OH : Mr. David Lucas presented two topics this year at the Borland Conference. One was on the J2EE Connector Architecture and the other was on Encapsulating Change within the Enterprise. Mr. Lucas indicated that this year was very successful. There were many discussions on the success of Borland and its positive future.
March 2001 - Pataskala, OH : Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. announced that the existing contract with Applied Concepts Inc. (ACI) of Gahanna, OH will continue in support of a client's productiztion of enterprise services using IFX. The extension is undetermined, but should continue until the end of the year.
January 2001 - Pataskala, OH : The 12th Annual Borland Conference has selected two abstracts by David Lucas of Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. to present at this years BorCon 2001 in July. Topics will be Encapsulating Change using J2EE and Connecting J2EE with VisiConnect.
November 2000 - Pataskala, OH : The 12th Annual Borland Conference Advisory Board has chosen Mr. David Lucas of Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. to set on this year's Borland Enterprise Review Board. Mr. Lucas will be using his experience and expertise to help Borland select qualified papers and candidates to lecture at next years Borland Conference 2001.
September 2000 - Pataskala, OH : President and Chief Software Architect of Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. announces contract with Applied Concepts Inc. (ACI) of Gahanna, OH to perform software architecture services to their clients in the areas of Java, C++, XML, CORBA, J2EE, NT, Unix, and MVS. Initial XML development will be based on the Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) Forum's standards and integrate with IBM MQSeries. Mr. Lucas indicated the project may be for at least 6 months.
August 2000 - Pataskala, OH : Lucas Software Engineering, Inc. (web) established. Primary goals are to formalize desire to service companies by training and mentoring developers in technology and software development. And to serve others using the values and ethics taught by Jesus Christ. The company was founded by David Lucas who has over 13 years of experience in Information Technology. Mr. Lucas will be heading up the company as Chief Software Architect and consulting in the local Columbus area. The goal is to become profitable as soon as possible, then to work on EAI tools for the developer.
